Support for new kinematic structures-mathias_haage-05-31-2021

Hi,

I am evaluating your software for use in a project. I wonder what support you offer to incorporate new robots with currently unsupported kinematics. Does the tool provide mechanisms so we can include the robot and kinematics ourselves? I specifically want to include the parallel kinematic mechanism by Cognibotics AB,https://cognibotics.com/technology/parallel-kinematic-machine-pkm/.

Hi Mathias,

It's a nice robot, that's for sure.
But, unfortunately, including such kinematic to RoboDK would require an important development effort.
I'm sorry, but it won't be possible.

Jeremy

For an application like this, you could look at running it on Linuxcnc, that supports the ability to run kinematics in a cartesian space
