curve follow paths on rotating parts
#1
Hi all

I am trying to create a curve follow path for a robot to follow wrapped helically around a rotating mandrill how do I program the UR10 to tell it that the mandrill is rotating? I have attached the robodk file with the static path to show what I mean.

Many thanks

Raoul

Hi Raoul,

In RoboDK you can synchronize external axes by selectingUtilities-Synchronize外部轴. More information here:
//www.sinclairbody.com/doc/en/General.html#SyncAxes

However, I don't think UR controllers support synchronizing turntables together with robot movements. Therefore, you may have to use the robot as a positionner (keep the external axis static while the robot moves).
