ABB Speed and Acceleration

#1
Hello,

I am currently evaluating RoboDK,
I have a project I did in Robot Studio and thought it would be a good exercise to do the same job in RoboDK and then compare cycle times.

A full cycle in Robot Studio takes 64.5 seconds, whereas I am getting 42.8 seconds in RoboDK. I assume I have not configured the speed and acceleration settings correctly. I will attach a few images of a path and settings.

A question,
The rounding is eitheron (1)oroff (-1)? So it doesn't matter what rounding value I have? I would like a zonedata of z200. Does entering a value greater than "1" have any affect on time or simulation? If I understand correctly from the training videos it doesn't.

Thank you,
Robert

The rounding have no effect on the simulation time.

You can enter a rounding of 200 to get a zonedata of z200.
It will be generated in the program sent to the robot, but will not effect the simulation time cycle.

Yes that's what I thought, thank you.

Any idea why I am getting such a big difference in cycle times?

Robert
