3d Printing w/ ABB4600

#1
Hello,

I'm in the process of setting up two extruders for 3d printing, on a pair of ABB 4600's controlled with an IRC5. Are there any ABB software options that I am missing? The only one that I know I'll need for sure is "616 -- PC interface", which is already installed.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Jaren,

As far as I know, you don't need anything else.

Btw, PC-Interface is only required if you are using the Driver, which I suspect you won't do for 3D printing as you need fluid motion.
Fluid motion can only be achieved with generated code (programed with RoboDK) uploaded on the controller.
